Background

Fairytails are magical critters whose appearance changes based on perception.  They take on the form of whatever myths and legends spring up about them.  They can range from graceful to monstrous in appearance and behavior. The fairytails above have not yet begun to deviate from their initial form so how they mature is up to you! You can learn more about them here:

Pottery

A reserved fairytail with a very rare hairless mutation.  Only one other is known to exist at the moment.  Because of their fair coloration and bizarre lack of fur, they spend a lot of time hiding in the shade, often in old discarded pottery.

Spectrum

Fast paced and with a heavy, plush coat, this fairytail is confident and outgoing.  They make it a habit to confound humans with tricks and pranks, often darting by so fast people just manage to catch a little rainbow blur.

Gargoyle

Slow and intentional, Gargoyle behaves more like a reptile than a mammal.  They love lounging in the sun on top of concrete structures.  Supposedly, they've even begun to grow moss along their back thanks to the sedentary lifestyle.  Despite their laziness, they try to remain out of sight, leading to mysterious rumors about moving statues.

Sheepytime

Remarkably, this fairytail is one of the very few who actually lives with people.  They reside with an old shepherd and his flock of sheep.  The shepherd's poor vision has prevented him from noticing anything unusual about this little "sheep" but he does sometimes feel inexplicably sleepy around his flock.  Sheepytime doesn't seem to care that they're regularly sheared and live with a bunch of sheep, they just want to nap.
