I've been toying with this idea for months and I think it's about time I test the waters/get some feedback from you guys.
I'm basically planning a closed species arpg group that's based around rpgs and video games. Here they are:
They're called Bits and they come in at least the 3 classes shown above: mage, rogue, and warrior. They live in a world called Tidd which is plagued with the appearance of strange monsters called Bytes (still have to design those, they'll be very toothy). I've got an open ended plot planned out that will be revealed over time. Tidd is a rich world overrun by plant life, though certain features will have an overall blocky appearance. Something like these pieces:
I've got to do some concept work on the world still but haven't devoted the time yet.
As far as the role playing aspect goes, I'm going to implement a few different prompts every few weeks and you can pick and choose which ones to do (ie battles, help neighbors, build gear). Lot's of room to develop your character the way you see fit. With each prompt, your Bit will gain a level and some coins. Your character's level impacts the type of gear it can use, enemies it can fight, and might act as a multiplier in certain prompts. The coins can be spent on things like custom gear or character modifications. And other things I haven't yet thought of.
Furthermore, Bits spawn without any idea of the world around them. I'd like to sort of build the world with the arpg group and I've got a few ideas about how to do that.
That's the basics of my whole idea. It's overall very interactive and I'm excited for it! But I need to know what you all think of it as I'm wary of putting a lot of energy into it if it's going to fail. Any input you guys have is very welcome! My biggest concern right now is the appeal of Bits themselves. Would you enjoy drawing them? I've got a lot of other ideas in the works for their world too, this is only just touching on it. I want to include mounts, collaborative boss fights, contests, animal crossing-esque tasks...just a lot!
If there's a lot of interest, I'm going to work on a website for them right away. Let me know what you think ok, thank you so much!
and last thing is any info here is subject to change. Here's a few more pieces I've done of Bits for you to poke around in (I've done a lot, I'm already invested):
EDIT:
AHHHH you are all perfect, sweet, and wonderful, thank you for all the kind words ;A;

Species Update
Hey guys,
So I wanted to post a little update about some of my species stuff. I just wanted to apologize that I haven't been around to run the groups or do interactive activities that people would like. I wish I could support you all as much as you've supported me, I've just either been too busy or interested in other projects. You are more than welcome to RP any of the characters of my closed species though. Both Flukes and Fairytails technically exist on Earth so they can interact with your other characters however you'd like. Shoot, you can RP them on planets they don't exist on too, anything goes. I really don't mind people bending
Any cintiqs for sale?? +update
Hey guys!
First off sorry I've been on so infrequently. I got a neat little job that's wonderful but has eaten up absolutely all of my time. I still regularly update my twitter though so if you need something urgently or just wanna keep up, best to contact me there. ---> https://twitter.com/mackadoodledoo
